Synchronization Scripts
As discussed in the Administrator's guide synchronization in OpenIAM allows for both automated provisioning and the importing of data from various systems through connectors. The primary difference between these two processes is that in automated provisioning, data coming from a source system is processed and the one or more downstream systems are updated. During the import process data from the application is used only to update the OpenIAM product repository.
Both processes make extensive use of Groovy scripts which can be customized to meet each company's unique requirements. The table below provides references to additional information for each use case.
Use case | Description |
---|---|
Import existing entitlements and users | Create a complete view of a user's access by importing the entitlements and each user's memberships to these entitlements into OpenIAM |
Automate provisioning from a source | Automate provisioning and deprovisioning using data from your source system. |
