Request management
OpenIAM provides the ability to create requests to access which can then go through a workflow-based review process. Upon approval by the designated reviewers, access can be granted. There are several types of requests, and they are defined below.

| Creating an access request from catalog | Creating a request for access to an application or entitlement using the Service Catalog. |
| Approving a request | Accepting, delegating or rejecting from end users by designated approvers. |
| Request administration | Viewing, reassigning or cancelling any request created by an end user by authorized administrators. |
| Accessing request history | Viewing a listing of all previous approved requests. |
| Creating new group | Submitting a request to create a new group by an end user. |
| Creating new user | Submitting a request to create a new user by end user. |
| Creating a position change request | Reviewing the end user’s access after their position got changed. |
| Access profiles | Creating and modifying groupings of entitlements specific to a job function. |
| Requesting access from profile | Creating a request for entitlements from an access profile. |
| Uploading users in bulk | Uploading multiple users from a CSV file. |
| Creating an access request from a Job Profile | Creating an access request for entitlements through a Job/profile role. |
| Approving a request | Creating a request for privileged access for a certain period. |
