OpenIAM can be utilized to support a varied set of business requirements which are summarized below. In some cases, a hybrid approach such as supporting both employees and customers is required. Workforce IAM | Workforce identity and access management solutions manage and governs access to systems for a diverse user base which consist of employees and contractors as well system accounts. Systems include both solution which are both on-premise and in the cloud. These solution also improve end-user security and productivity through SSO, Self-service portals and MFA. |
Customer IAM | Customer Identity and Access (CIAM) solutions enable organizations to securely deliver access to applications or service for external users (customers, vendors, etc.). Common features in a CIAM solution include: customer registration, self-service account management, consent and preference management, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), access management, and delegated administration |
